Agape Children's School Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Harriette’s Song and Advantax understood that to create a lasting foundation for this school in the Phnom Penh community they needed to partner with local organizations who understood the needs of the people and were also able to continue the work. World Agape Inc. was a great fit!

Today the Agape Children's School is fully functioning. Originally, it was hoped that a little over 60 children would attend. After several reports of “transformed lives of many children” 120+ students are now coming regularly. The children study English, general education, moral and ethics, art, computer, music and Bible lessons. They also learn how to work together and are involved in community service projects.

Like any good school should be, Agape is also fun! The children participate in sports, singing and dance, and this past year had a Christmas Celebration with their families.

Overwhelmingly these children are learning that they matter and that their lives do make a difference.

“When a child in poverty says, “I matter,” he has just taken the first teetering step out of poverty! The outer circumstances with which he struggles may not have changed at all, but the inner core, the root of his personhood, is vastly altered. The healing can now begin, from the inside out.”
